Witham is an ever growing town just short of 28,000 people set midway between Chelmsford and Colchester, in Essex. Witham BB has members throughout a 15 mile radius of the town, from as far away as Braintree, Maldon, Hatfield Peverel and surrounding villages, Silver End, Terling and north Chelmsford. We had one young man and two staff from Billericay too, for a time.

From small beginnings in September 1972, the group has grown to it’s current 137 boys and girls, (with sports members), 10 Officer staff and 30 volunteers, including six Trustees we also have a dedicated School worker team. All BB evenings take place at Guithavon Valley Evangelical Church halls, Witham, plus the BB office, the workshop unit, New Rickstones Academy sports hall and Bradwell Moorings Outdoors Centre, for the power boat. The Company is celebrating 50 years in 2022 of BB in Witham and is a registered charity in it’s own right No. 1098237.
